I realize that every Christian wedding since 2002 has used this song in their wedding, but I want to use it so badly! It's such a wonderful, powerful song with such amazing lyrics! I get chills every time I hear, sing, or read these lyrics - so much truth packed into one song. Who cares if everyone else is using it? I want it too :)
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless Babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live, I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From a life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Could ever pluck me from His hand
Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I stand
"Mawage. Mawage is what bwings us togeva today. Mawage, that bwessed awangement, that dweam wifin a dweam."

Where's the Focus? (225)
I really want to make it known that the focus of this wedding is not on us. It's on Christ. It's so easy to get caught up in all of this bridal stuff. Everyone wants to make sure you know that everything is about you and what you want. I really want to stress that it's not about us - especially in our ceremony. I would like to have some kind of congregational worship song, communion (just for Michael and me) and a short gospel presentation. I'm not sure how to put it all together though. Does anyone have any ideas for an order of ceremony?
